Executive Director
MASA
I once worked with an ALC Director who called himself a “dealer in hope.” I haven’t forgotten how he approached his daily work and the importance of modeling a hopeful attitude daily.. Students loved him and staff followed his vision and were inspired by his optimism.
Leaders who look forward with hope are those who possess a positive and optimistic outlook on the future. These leaders inspire and motivate others by embracing challenges, envisioning possibilities, and demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity.
I recommend the book “Making Hope Happen” by Shane J. Lopez if you need practical ideas on how to generate more hope in your organization or to increase your personal level of hope. Lopez’s observations and uplifting stories about individuals who have created hope in their own lives and communities may help you on your professional journey. His message is clear that hope is a choice and the more you are able to increase your level of hope, the more successful you and the people around you will become.
As you lead, you are often the guiding force that inspires resilience, fosters collaboration and fuels the relentless pursuit of a better future for our children. As dealers in hope you shape a brighter future for yourself and those you are privileged to lead.
So, continue to lead with hope, and watch as you unlock the limitless potential within yourself and those you lead. Together, let us build a future that is not just promising but one that we actively shape with the belief that, indeed, the best is yet to come.
