Applications are still open for the 2025-26 Minnesota Aspiring Superintendents Academy. With a proven history of preparing future superintendents for this new role in education, this program will provide opportunities to develop and expand your leadership skills—regardless of your current role in education. If you are considering a move to the superintendency at some point in the future, this is the program for you!

Facilitated by Minnesota’s own school leaders and other experts in their fields, the Aspiring Superintendents Academy offers a comprehensive experience covering critical topics such as leadership development, communication, school board relations, decision-making, community engagement, interviewing, contract negotiation, and more. The program will equip you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to begin your career as a superintendent (or better support the one you have)!

This program is ideal for educators passionate about leadership and eager to make a meaningful impact on education in their communities. Participants will gain insights from experienced leaders, build a strong professional network, and enhance the confidence needed to lead a school district successfully.

Applications are due by August 1, 2025. Accepted candidates will be notified by August 15. Please note that this is NOT a licensure program.
