Happy New Year!
Beginning a brand new year is often inspiration for a “makeover,” and this year, in anticipation of the MASA Jobsite Online’s twentieth anniversary, we thought we would celebrate with a makeover for the Jobsite!
Twenty years ago, MASA’s members asked for an online application that would provide a convenient solution for posting school district job openings and receiving candidate applications. Use of the Internet was just starting to gain traction among our school districts, and MASA was excited to provide an innovative resource for our members.
In collaboration with MASA members, school HR professionals, and technology advisors, MASA staff developed a dual-function web site that has provided a low-cost, easy-to-use solution to meet the needs of both school districts and candidates. We are proud to say that the MASA Jobsite Online is one of the most frequently used job/candidate search resources for Minnesota schools.
We also recognize that, as time passed, both technology and users become more sophisticated and we wanted the Jobsite to accurately reflect the continuing best practice in staff recruitment, inspiring our Jobsite makeover. MASA staff has spent the last year remodeling the site, complete with a new, more functional user platform and up to date appearance. What has NOT changed is ease of access and use, full-service capabilities for job posting and candidate searching, and availability of staff for assistance when it would be helpful.
MASA will also continue to advertise the Jobsite with major print/online publications and with other education associations. So check us out at jobsitemnasa.org – and let us know what you think. •
